Terms of Use

1. About Oddly Specific

Oddly Specific is a multiplayer drawing and guessing game. Players join a game room, choose or enter a nickname, draw sketches on a digital canvas, vote, score, and play through game rounds with other players.

Oddly Specific can be played without creating an account.

2. Eligibility

Oddly Specific is intended for users who are 16 years of age or older.

If you are under the age of majority where you live, you may only use Oddly Specific with the accompaniment, supervision, and monitoring of a parent or legal guardian.

Oddly Specific is intended for general audiences, but the game includes user-generated drawings and nicknames. Player-created content may be unpredictable and may not always be suitable for all users.

3. User Responsibilities

You are responsible for your own conduct while using Oddly Specific.

You agree not to use Oddly Specific to create, submit, display, or share content that is:

• Harassing, abusive, bullying, or threatening
• Hateful, discriminatory, or targeted at a protected group
• Sexually explicit or pornographic
• Violent, graphic, or intended to shock or harm others
• Illegal or encouraging illegal activity
• Invasive of another person's privacy
• Sharing someone's personal, private, or confidential information
• Spam, disruptive, or intended to interfere with gameplay
• Intended to impersonate, shame, harass, or harm another person

You also agree not to:

• Attempt to hack, overload, scrape, reverse engineer, probe, or interfere with the site
• Attempt to bypass security, rate limits, access controls, or technical restrictions
• Use bots, scripts, automated tools, or other methods to disrupt the game
• Use Oddly Specific in a way that could damage, disable, or impair the site or its infrastructure

4. User-Generated Content

Oddly Specific allows players to create drawings and choose nicknames. You are solely responsible for the drawings, nicknames, and other content you create or submit during gameplay.

CozyCabinOps does not pre-screen all player-created content. We are not responsible for drawings, nicknames, or other content created by users.

Players in the same game room may be able to see your nickname, avatar choice, drawings, votes, and scores during gameplay.

5. Drawings, Downloads, and Sharing

During or at the end of a game, players may have the option to copy, download, screenshot, or otherwise save drawings from the game.

You may download or copy drawings for personal use, but you are responsible for how you use anything you save from Oddly Specific.

You agree not to use copied, downloaded, screenshotted, or shared game content to harass, impersonate, shame, threaten, embarrass, exploit, or harm another person.

CozyCabinOps cannot control what other players do with drawings, screenshots, or content they choose to save or share outside the game.

6. Temporary Game Data

Gameplay data is intended to exist only for the duration of a game session. This may include room codes, nicknames, avatar choices, drawings, votes, scores, timestamps, and game state.

Once a game ends, this information is not intended to be stored permanently by Oddly Specific.

Because gameplay is temporary and not connected to user accounts, CozyCabinOps may not be able to recover, identify, remove, or delete specific gameplay content after a game has ended.

7. Ownership and Intellectual Property

Oddly Specific, including its name, branding, site design, user interface, game implementation, code, text, visual style, and other site materials, is owned by CozyCabinOps or used with permission.

The avatar artwork used in Oddly Specific is created by @dalvangus. The artist retains ownership of the artwork, and CozyCabinOps has permission or a license to use it in connection with Oddly Specific.

You may not copy, reproduce, modify, distribute, sell, or reuse Oddly Specific's branding, characters, avatar artwork, code, interface, game assets, or other protected materials without permission.

You retain ownership of the drawings you create during gameplay. By creating a drawing in Oddly Specific, you grant CozyCabinOps a temporary, limited license to display, process, transmit, and use that drawing only as needed to operate the game session and related gameplay features.

8. No Accounts or Payments

Oddly Specific currently does not require user accounts and does not collect payment information.

Features may change in the future. CozyCabinOps may add, remove, modify, restrict, or discontinue features at any time. This may include future features such as accounts, advertising, paid features, or other services.

If paid features or advertising are added in the future, additional terms or notices may apply.

9. Enforcement

CozyCabinOps may take action if we believe someone has violated these Terms or misused the site.

This may include:

• Blocking or restricting access
• Ending, deleting, or disabling game rooms
• Removing or limiting content where technically possible
• Investigating misuse
• Reporting illegal activity to appropriate authorities when necessary
• Taking other steps needed to protect the site, users, or CozyCabinOps

We are not required to monitor every game room or all player-created content.

10. Availability and Changes to the Site

Oddly Specific is provided as a casual online game. We do our best to keep it available, but we do not guarantee that the site will always work perfectly or remain available.

The site may be unavailable, interrupted, delayed, buggy, changed, suspended, or discontinued at any time.

CozyCabinOps is not responsible for lost drawings, lost scores, lost game progress, room crashes, browser issues, connection problems, device problems, downtime, or other technical interruptions.

11. Third-Party Services

Oddly Specific may rely on third-party services for hosting, infrastructure, security, analytics, development, or other operations. These may include services such as Amazon Web Services, Cloudflare, GitHub, and related tools.

Your use of Oddly Specific may also be subject to the terms, policies, or technical requirements of those third-party services.

12. Disclaimer

Oddly Specific is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, CozyCabinOps makes no warranties or representations about the site, including that it will be uninterrupted, secure, error-free, accurate, or suitable for any particular purpose.

You use Oddly Specific at your own risk.

13. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, CozyCabinOps will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, content, drawings, scores, access, goodwill, or other losses arising from or related to your use of Oddly Specific.

This includes losses related to:

• User-generated drawings or nicknames
• Content copied, downloaded, screenshotted, or shared by players
• Technical errors, downtime, bugs, or interruptions
• Unauthorized access or misuse
• Actions of other players
• Changes to or discontinuation of the site

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations of liability, so some of the above limitations may not apply to you.

14. Indemnity

You agree to be responsible for any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, or expenses arising from your misuse of Oddly Specific, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of another person's rights.

15. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the applicable laws of Canada, without regard to conflict of law principles.

If a dispute arises, the parties will first try to resolve it informally by contacting CozyCabinOps at the email address below.

Nothing in these Terms limits any rights you may have under laws that cannot be excluded by agreement.

16. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make changes, we will update the effective date at the top of this page.

Your continued use of Oddly Specific after the Terms are updated means you accept the updated Terms.
